A year ago, I did not think I would have gone on a spontaneous trip. Hence, why this year-ender was such a memorable one. Already reminiscing the good food, and the view.

Therapei101 was a success.

In love with Magic

In love with Magic

Growing up, I have always had great interests on anything about magic. Ever since I was a kid, I have loved Animes about fantasy worlds. Further developed a liking on Mangas. And eventually, movies. I have loved how they always take me places.

Like any other, The Night Circus caught my attention. The title and book cover reminded me too much of one my favorite manwhas, Annarasumanara. So I bought the book, only to be disappointed—not with the plot! But because the book was missing its first 28 pages. Meh.

The Night Circus
by Erin Morgenstern

The circus, without warning nor announcements, travels and arrives in cities to showcase magic--gaining curiosity among spectators. Unbeknownst to most, a fierce competition between two greatly-trained magicians has began.

This book definitely did not disappoint. I wanted magic, I got magic. And as mentioned, I have a soft spot for anything with themes of magic, so I thoroughly enjoyed the story. I loved all parts of the circus. Like the audience and spectators, I was amazed with all the wonders of every rooms. If non-fiction, I would probably become one of the reveurs. Though the romance and rivalry between the two main characters were paced slowly, Morgenstern still managed to hook you with every little interaction. Ending was unexpected, but was true to the narrative. A love story doomed from the beginning could have ended worse.

"You will be fine," the fortune-teller says.

"There may be decisions to make, and surprises in store. Life takes us in unexpected places sometimes. The future is never set in stone, remember that."
